Dear Daddy,
I write this today from home, sitting here with Shirley and Chloe, and finally exhaling after dotting all the i's and crossing the t's, as you asked me to. As it should be. My heart is flooded with memories.... too many to share here, but each one a reflection of the million moments we spent together. My most profound memory was sitting in the living room in Deerfield with you; Justin was asleep in his crib and Susan was reading in her room. You were channel surfing and stopped on HBO. Barbra Streisand's 'One Voice' concert. We watched it together and shared our mutual admiration for her voice, her talent, her achievements. And I remember thinking that all those years we spent apart after the family split vanished and we connected. That evening, that concert, that conversation was the foundation that carried us through the next thirty years.

I am Linda's ex-husband and I remember when we visited one year back in the early 80's and I went with him to an airport and if I remember correctly he had a janitorial service and was trying to get a contract with the airport. He give me a shirt with the company's name on it to wear to meet some men there. Well while there he told the man he was talking to that I worked for him in Greenville, S.C. and had came down to come with him to the airport to talk to them. I thought to myself Oh Lord please don't ask me anything about the services in Greenville and luckily he did not. He was always so respectful to me and I will never forget that.
