Wendell B. Adams' Obituary
Wendell B. Adams of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the age of 71 years. He was born in Bartow, Florida and has lived in the central Florida region his entire life, living in Polk City, Tampa, Bradenton, Orlando and Mount Dora. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps. in the Vietnam War, serving two tours. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and a Silver Star. Wendell was an entrepreneur, owning and managing Waterbrick International, producing plastic containers out of Windermere, Florida. He loved the outdoors, shooting, riding his motorcycle and traveling cross country. He was preceded in death by his parents, George William and Ruby Inez Adams. Wendell was remembered and will be dearly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jillian Adams of Windermere; son, Mark Adams of Tampa; sister, Alma Jean Wilder of Polk City, Florida and 3 grandchildren, Griffin, Madelyn and Christopher.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Friday, July 13 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a funeral ceremony starting at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow with military honors on Friday at 1:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Ocean Futures Society; www.OceanFutures.org
