Thomas Lee Willey's Obituary
Thomas Lee “Tom” Willey of Mount Dora passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the age of 55 years. He was born in Miami Beach. Tom was in scouting as a young man and achieved Eagle Scout. He loved computers and became a computer programmer working in the airline industry. Tom also enjoyed science fiction. He had an interest in farming and was aspiring to start a small farm.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lee and Mary Willey and his sister, Melanie Carroll Simpson. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife, Anne. They would have been married 13 years on October 31. He is also remembered by his niece, Melanie Carroll Simpson and Anne’s brothers, Kim Scott (Debra) Malcolm of Crossville, Tennessee and Carl Clyde Malcolm of Faison, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, November 3 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm with a memorial ceremony starting at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org and hit the “In Memory” tab. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
