Roger Lee Hedegard's Obituary
Roger Lee Hedegard of Altoona passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Moving to this area in February of 1955, he was a graduate of Eustis High School. He attended church at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Mount Dora. Roger was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Hog Man”. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Eustis. He like to collect model antique cars and John Deere tractors. Roger was a talented wood craftsman. He enjoyed making bird houses and wind chimes. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his sons, Brian Hedegard (Laura Brummett) of Leesburg and Jason Hedegard (Trista) of Altoona; daughters, Dana Church (Brent) of Weirsdale, Roberta ‘Bert’ Mowell (Bryan Williams) of Leesburg and Jami Bush (Robin) of Altoona; brother, Glen Hedegard (Patti) of Grand Island; sister, Sharon Liles (Charlie) of Mount Dora, step sister Mary Parker as well as 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Roger was predeceased by his sister Ginger McRee Howard.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 starting at 11:00 am at Roger’s residence.
