So sorry to hear this. Roger was a nice guy. Alfred thought the world of him. Our condolences to the family. We didn’t know very many of you but we lived in the woods for lots of years and do know some of you. Alfred and Charlene Keltner from Salem, Indiana.
"Lord have mercy"... "Lord have mercy" i heard this twice, I was working at Colonial Bank in Eustis and only met Roger "Hogman" a couple of times. He came in to do something and was standing at the counter watching me walk back and forth. I came back from the drive-thru and he had the biggest smile on his face. At the time I only knew him as Hogman, I said you can have a seat I'll let you know when they're available. His reply was priceless... Now why would I want to sit over there when I can stand here and watch a pretty lady walk back and forth? I fell in love with him right then and there! Loved going to visit, Cody and I spoke of him often, Roger you are surely going to be missed. Until we meet again!
Roger was a man of many trades and jokes... The first time I met him was winter of 1984, when I was introduced to him, he said, " Oh no Honey we Hug around here!" Later that day he said to me, " Do know what it feels like to pee?" I said," Yes" he said "then feel this!". From that day forward he had me laughing, smiling. There was one time I was cleaning house, I had the TV up really loud with the windows and doors open, watching Drumline the movie, it had really good music, when the music got really loud it was playing a song that made it sound like I was watching a football game, I remember him running into the house panting and holding on to door way, and saying "Whew whew whew, I didn't know, whew whew, there was a game on today!?!?" Lol oh my I never laughed so hard. I made lunch and He stayed to watch the rest of movie. He enjoyed the movie. My favorite time with him, was when I was pregnant with Catherine and he showed me how to Can, sause, salsa, jelly, jams, veggies and to make Liver Pudding. Picking up feed for the hogs was quite a job, but the boys enjoyed it, I think, sure do miss making those meals on feet to, he liked to eat, when the kids walked the meal over he got a big kick of the kids, yelling, Papa!?!? from the bottom of his stairs, making sure he was dressed lol🍔🍉🌽🍅🌶️️🥐🥦🍄🥞🍕🥨🥩🍗🌭🥪🌮🥧🍺🍽️️ well, he instilled a lots of his tricks of the trade and helped me become the woman I am today. I could go on and on with 30 plus years of the Beautiful memories with him. Thank you Roger for the beautiful memories. You will be dearly missed 😉
Uncle Roger and his family took the Masters family in as their own when we moved to Lake County in 1990. I have very fond memories at his place in the forest with him as a kid and up until present day. The horseshoe tournament at his place in 2008; well, that was a fun day. Love and miss you, Uncle Roger.

I knew Roger when I was younger from Roll Air Skating Ring and enjoyed skating with him for years but later in life I got the chance to be around him as an adult and it was like we picked up where we left off, he was a fun loving guy that will be missed. To his family I'm sorry for your loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are being sent to the Hedegard family. We had many awesome times with him. Our boys (who were also skaters here in Pa) were in awe when we shared our stories about him, the notorious skating trip to Daytona and roller hockey games. He will be missed and remember by a multitude of friends.
