I will miss my best friend very much. When we were together we laughed a lot and sometimes cried, but mostly no matter how I was feeling Patt somehow always made me feel better. She was all about family and loved her family dearly.
I met Patt when I moved to Saint Augustine, she lived across the street, we became fast friends after a while, She always amazed me with how well she did anything she put her mind to, her scrapping, she made the most beautiful scrap books. We made a scrap book together for my daughter in law and she loved it.
I will speak for our neighborhood and say we ALL loved her Christmas displays, everything lit up and was timed with music. She often had traffic stopped at her house so they could stop and listen. Patt absolutely loved Christmas! She decorated for all the holidays, and at Halloween we would sit outside together and give out candy. She really enjoyed the children all dressed up in their costumes.
So many memories, I will cherish them all. I know she is finally at peace and I thank God for that. I now know I have an Angel looking out for me. ❤️
Aunt Pat was a wonderful, loving, strong, and no nonsense women. She had many adventures over the years and I was lucky to be a part of many of them. She always had a place for us to stay and plenty of laughs to share. We created many things together. When the “three sisters”, Pat, Leta, & Cathy, would get together, you can bet there would be a hilarious and fabulous story to tell. Though I will miss her terribly, I know that she is with Grandma, Grandpa, Goober, Little Charlie, and all the others whom left before her. Though we will miss her, I know we will see her once more. She will be waiting with open arms to accept us as she has always done. I love you very much Patty and a little piece of my heart has left with you.
The Broken Chain:
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
She was always the cog in the wheel of our family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She loved me as a daughter. She was always my "Jackie O", the epitome of beauty and grace. I will hang on to my memories until we meet again in heaven.
She was more than a sister, albeit by marriage, but she was a tireless friend and a bright and shining example of love and compassion to others.
I have told you "I love you" at least a million or more times in 73 years and I want you to know I will tell you "I love you" every day until we meet again. I will miss hearing you say "WHERE ARE YOU"?. I love and miss you already my dear sweet sister. Love Little Sis.
