Dear Bertrand I had the great pleasure of becoming a friend & a fellow council member of Bert's. I requested Bert run for Town Council with me, because we needed someone with honesty, integrity & rational thinking. He did all those & beyond. In 2000 Bert became my campaign treasurer as I ventured into the School Board race. Bert was right, what was I thinking. To my friend Bert, your road in life journey has changed now. With change comes new things. We all will gain a Guardian Angel with awesome qualities.God Bless You, Rick & Deanna Thomas##imported-begin##Rick THomas##imported-end##
Bert, we will miss you deeply. We know that you are in a better place with no more suffering. God needed you so you could keep his computers running smoothly. You were a great friend and neighbor and were always willing to help out in everything that came along. We all know that you will be looking down on us and you can always know that we will always be here for Jean. Chris and I are very sorry that we were out of state and could not be with you and Jean when you really needed us. May your candle always burn bright.##imported-begin##Bill & Chris Catron##imported-end##
Jean, We were shocked to hear about Bert's passing last Wednesday. We're so very sorry we were unable to attend the viewing in Tavares but our thoughts and prayers were with you and your family. Bert will be greatly missed, he did so much for Astatula and for anyone who needed his help. He always had a smile on his face when you saw him. Jean, you were very lucky to have found such a kind and wonderful friend and husband. God bless you and your family.Bob & Judy Stewart##imported-begin##Bob & Judy Stewart##imported-end##
