Who is Lennie to me? Lennie was a loving, caring, amazing, and opinionated woman. During our last conversation she said to me "You know I love you like a daughter" and those words went straight to my heart. Lennie and Wesley have always been more than in-laws to me. They treated me better than my own family. For that I will be forever grateful. She showed her love in many ways. It could be through her food because you never left hungry or through the talks with you where you got her opinion, good or bad. One thing I will always remember, probably because I heard it hundreds of times, is the loving way she would say " Damnit Wesley". I think of those words often and they always bring a smile to my face and heart. We will see each other again on the other side. I will be looking for you first so either come to greet me or find a really good hiding place. Thanks for letting me be in your life. I love you!

I met Lennie Walters Humphrey in the fall of 1962 shortly before I married her brother Pete Walters. Lennie was so sweet but what a fire cracker back in the day. My fondest memory of Lennie was when she showed me how to put eye liner on my eyes. I made a mess and she laughed and told me you need to "practice a lot" always with that sly grin she could give you. Lennie always had such a good heart she loved her Mama, Daddy brothers and sister. She loved her husband and boys beyond measure and was always there for her entire family no matter what. There has been a rip in the fabric of our world at her leaving, but I trust our Lord Jesus Christ and his Word. We will see our sweet sister again beyond the vail.
