Joyce B. Stout's Obituary
Joyce B. Stout, 87, of Eustis, FL went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2016. Joyce was born on September 02, 1928 in Ithaca, NY to the late Herman and Carrie Besemer. Joyce graduated from Ithaca High School in 1946. She then furthered her education and graduated with a degree in nursing. Later she and her late husband Robert C. Stout moved to Tavares, FL in 1976, where Joyce worked as a nurse with home health of Lake County and also with Florida Hospital Waterman, of Eustis. Joyce was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eustis, FL. She was a member of the women’s choir as well as the women’s guild. Her hobbies included baking and sewing. Those who knew Joyce would describe her as a compassionate and caring woman. She was a true lady and although she was soft spoken she was a strong woman, who was loving, giving, and kind. Joyce is predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert C. Stout; daughter, Barbara Stout; brother, Rodney Besemer; and brother-in-law, H. James Stout. She is survived by her son, Robert C. (Joyce) Stout, Jr. of Ithaca, NY; daughter, Amy (John) Kornhaus of Eustis, FL; brother, Richard (Kathy) Besemer of Brooktondale, NY; sister-in-law, Beverly Besemer of Tannersville, NY; sisters, Lois Stout of North Port, FL and Phyllis (David) Sprague of Ithaca, NY; grandchildren, Megan Kornhaus, Amanda Beattie, and Thomas Stout; And great-grandchildren, Seth Beattie, Jakob Beattie, and Lium Beattie. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church at 11:00AM located at 2727 S Grove St, Eustis, FL 32726. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Cove at Tavares Village by mail at 1501 Sunshine Pkwy, Tavares, FL 32778 or by phone at (352) 742-7111.
