Joseph Anthony King's Obituary
Joseph Anthony King, 46, of Gainesville passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010. He was born in Valley Stream, NY and moved to Florida in 1976. He was a safety technician and a veteran of the U.S. Army. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor King of Tavares; brother, Kenneth (Tammy) King of Sorrento; nephews, Adam King and Daniel King; great-niece, Olivia King. The family received friends at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. King was held at 9:00AM on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. Inturnment with military honors followed at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army/Drug and Alcohol Program - www.SalvationArmyUSA.org. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
