When I was a tech at Hyundai, there were times that I struggled. Especially with being a female in a predominately male environment. John was always encouraging for me and his presence around the shop would remind me of my grandfather and my father (who had passed shortly before I started at Hyundai.) He reminded me where my passion for cars came from and helped me continue to stay strong even though at the time I was working there I had gone through some horrible struggles. I nicknamed him “Papa Bear” and it stuck in my heart forever. His kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. It’s hard driving by the shop every day now and wishing I could still talk to him but I know he’s at peace and God has a place for him in heaven. Rest in Peace Papa Bear. ❤️
I worked with John and he was known at work as Papa. He was like a father figure for me and always made me laugh. I remember he told me no matter how bad of a day I was having, I was not allowed to leave work without smiling. He was an amazing friend and will be dearly missed.
