Daddy, I miss you SO much!!! I feel extremely blessed to have had you in my life for 64 long years! You have provided me with so many wonderful memories to cherish a lifetime and numerous valuable lessons on how to get along in this crazy, old world. You were a wonderful patriarch for our family and our extended family. Oh, how we much appreciate you and love you! A fairly recent and most cherished memory --- just a little over 2 years ago -- is having my last dance with you during my retirement party. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to have had this very special moment with my Dad! Even more so, thank you, Jesus, for choosing just the right Daddy for me to have in my life.
As a father of three young girls growing up, you were very firm and protective and it wasn't until we had children of our own that we understood just why this was so -- because you loved your girls to pieces! And, we knew it -- being raised in a warm, loving, and secure home.
I will always miss your sweet smile and sounding advice. I already miss your burly hugs with those large, strong hands wrapped around me when you were here to greet me or comfort me. Susan and I, along with the rest of your family, will take good care of your sweet Mimi as she was the love of your life! That you can count on!
