John Phillip Shadwick's Obituary
John Phillip Shadwick, age 78, of Tavares, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born on January 1,1947 on the mountain in Soddy-Daisey TN.
He met his wife, Patricia Gamblin, at Highland Academy in Portland, TN. They were married on September 3rd in 1967 at the Paducah, KY Seventh-day Adventist Church. On September 3, 2025 they celebrated 58 years of marriage.
He received a BS degree in Industrial Arts at Southern University in Collegedale, TN, and he also received a Masters at Andrews University in Berrien Springs MI.
John started an auto donation program in two Christian Academies. He worked with his students in the repair and selling of cars to help the schools expenses. He loved teaching and was loved by all his students.
After his retirement, he enjoyed going to unit sales. He loved dune buggies and mini cooper cars and worked on many1000 piece jigsaw puzzles.
John was a kind Christian man and will be missed.
