John "Tom" Davis' Obituary
John Thomas “Tom” Davis, age 70, of Tavares, Florida passed away January 2, 2014. He is the dearest husband of Brenda Kay, and the loving father of Kelly Davis Thomas, Tom Davis, Jr., and Barbie Davis. He was an especially proud grandfather of four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is survived by an older sister, Joyce Roffe of Madison, FL and a younger brother Wayne Davis of Thailand, along with several nieces and nephews and he is preceded by an older brother Royce Davis. Tom also known as J. T. Davis, retired from the Florida Highway Patrol. During his lifetime he also served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting in Florida and Colorado, and fishing wherever and whenever he got the chance. He was an avid storyteller, especially about his kids, grandkids and friends. The services will be held at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 East Burleigh Blvd, Tavares Fl 32778 on Sunday, January 5, 2014 beginning with the viewing at 12:00pm followed by the services at 2:00pm. After the services the family would like to invite everyone to join them in a celebration, with food and fellowship at: Imperial Terrace Clubhouse, 2612 Vindale Road, Tavares, FL 32778. In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to go to the Wounded Warriors Project. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
