Tom was a man of the land. Once we were discussing "Cross Creek" by Marjorie KinlingRawlings and he explained to me the meaning of hammock and scrubland. He really knew about Florida and its fish and game and lands. He also was the most avid Gator fan I ever met. Don and I were going to Knoxville for the holidays and I told him I'd bring him a beautiful bright orange UT teeshirt. He said that would be wonderful - it would make a great oil changing rag! We all will miss Tom, but I know he is up there in heaven converting all those folks into Gator fans!
