Gwendolyn Virginia DuFour's Obituary
Gwen Dufour, 69, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Mount Plymouth, FL following a five-year battle with cancer. Gwen was born in Cherokee, SC on June 30th, 1956. After moving to Lake County, FL as a child, she graduated from Eustis High School in 1974. She met her first Husband, Dwight S. Tabb there and they had two children. She later married Ronald F. Dufour in 1984. She was widowed in 2017.
Gwen was a woman of many talents. She was a professional wallpaper hanger for 50 years. She prided herself in caring for her beautiful home in Tavares, FL where she lived for more than 40 years. She provided a wonderful place for her family to grow and remember there. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. She later worked at Mount Dora High School as a "Lunch Lady" for 15 years.
Gwen will be remembered for her resilience, her sense of humor, strong work ethic and her honest, straight forward personality. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Gwen is Survived by her daughter, Leesa Rollins and son, Stephen Tabb, Her son-in-law, Allen and daughter-in-law, Nikki. She was lovingly called GG by her four grandchildren, Emma, Gabriel, Nicholas and Randell as well as 2 great grandchildren.
