I am so sorry to hear about Gwen's passing. She was a wonderful friend . She was truly gracious and kind. I will always remember her with a big smile! Rest in peace Gwen♥️ Kim Refiit
I had the privilege of working with Gwen in the high school cafeteria from 2017 to 2021, and she truly felt like a grandma to me. She was hilarious, always saying the most random things, and you always knew exactly where you stood with her. I’ll never forget her amazing desserts and the stories she shared about her life. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Gwen was a bonus big sister to me growing up. When she was with us when Steve was in the Army, I followed her around the house like a puppy and loved her all the more! She taught us so much about sewing, cooking and being a sweet and patient person. When I was a little older I got to babysit for them often and Gwen was still so sweet and patient with me, a teenager learning how to help with their home and precious kids. I've always loved that she still called Mom (Anne), Mom. Love never fails.
All my love goes out Leesa and Steve and their families as they walk this day by day journey without Gwen's presence but carrying on her legacy of love and kindness.
My condolences to Leesa & Steve, and all the family. Condolences are hardly enough. Feelings are all over the place. The heartbreak of such great a loss, the relief the suffering is over. Leesa was always known as the kindest person and did so much for so many. I believe she hung wallpaper for just about everyone in Lake County, and certainly did for many of the houses we built as Riley Construction. She was a wonderful sister-in-law and mother to her children. I have known her since high school. She will be greatly missed. Much love and prayers for you all.
One of my favorite memories is visiting mom's beautiful yard in the Springtime.
