George Andrew Orrach, age 85, of Tavares passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born December 10, 1928 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was a Master Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. He is survived by his sons, George M. Orrach of Puerto Rico, Anthony J. Orrach of Tavares, FL, Andrew N. Orrach of Leesburg, FL; brother, Michael Orrach of Long Island, NY; 6 grandchildren; and his companion, Emelina Ortiz Alvarez of Tavares, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
