Frank R. Fidrick Longtime Berwick Resident, US Navy Veteran Frank R. Fidrick, 84, of Leesburg, FL died Sunday January 7, 2018 at home. He was a loving husband of Eleanor(Hower) Fidrick for 64 golden years. Born January 31, 1933 in Dorrance Corners, PA he was the son of the late Frank Fidrick Sr. and Jennie Nedwick. In addition to his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by his brother Joseph Fedrick and sisters Helen Giacoma and Staic Loskie. Surviving siblings are Lottie Fedorco and Ann Berlin. Surviving in addition to his wife Eleanor are their four children: Son Steve Fidrick and wife Linda of New Smyrna Beach FL (daughters Kelly and Dawn, son Ryan); Son Dave Fidrick and wife Michelle of Winter Springs FL (daughter Brooke and son Christopher); Son Dan Fidrick and wife Becky of Berwick PA (son Devon and daughter Laurel); Daughter Sue Baer and husband Bob of Apex, NC (son Christian).
Frank graduated from Berwick Area Senior High in 1951. He served in the US Navy from 1952-1956 and was stationed in Panama for two years. For 33 years Frank was employed by Wise Foods before moving to Florida in 1990. He was an avid tennis player, a member of the barbershop chorus in Columbia County, PA as well as in Central FL. He enjoyed singing in barbershop quartets. Frank was an active member of St. Marys Church in Berwick, PA and St. Marys in Eustis, FL. A graveside memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 12:30PM at St. Marys Cemetary in Berwick with the Reverand Fr. Devine as the celebrant.
