Francis Dennis Grady's Obituary
Francis Dennis Grady, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully on February 5th, 2026, at home, surrounded by the family and friends who cherished him. Born in Rhode Island on September 7th, 1949, Dennis later made his way to South Florida in his twenties, where he met the love of his life, Michele. Together they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
Dennis is survived by his wife Michele; his children Danielle and Lola, Jonathan, and Michael and Brittany; and his treasured grandchildren, Quinn and James, who brought him immeasurable joy. He also leaves behind his siblings Raymond, Kevin, and Kathy. He now joins in heaven his mother, Cecile, and his sister, Marie.
Throughout his life, Dennis dedicated himself to service and leadership. He was a lifelong hospital administrator and served as Director of Facilities for multiple hospitals. He was a past president of ASHE and ISHE, a proud Navy veteran, and a devoted Boy Scout leader. His commitment to his community extended across countless organizations, each benefiting from his steady hands, sharp mind, and generous heart.
There was truly nothing Dennis couldn’t fix. He loved to tinker, to build, and to collect anything that might one day find a purpose. He found joy in simple pleasures such as long drives with Michele, projects in the garage, and above all, time spent with his grandchildren, whom he adored with all his heart.
Dennis would want to be remembered for his devotion to his family, his willingness to help anyone in need, and his ability to turn a joke at just the right moment. His presence was a source of comfort, his humor a source of light. We know he is watching over us, and his love will continue to guide us always.
A visitation will be held on Sunday February 15, 2026 from 12:12 PM - 2:00 PM, with a service to follow at 2 PM in the Steverson, Hamlin, and Hilbish Chapel. Military honors will be at 1:00 PM. He will be placed at Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday February 17, 2026.
The family kindly requests that attendees refrain from wearing heavy perfume or cologne due to sensitivities within the family.
