Frances (Blossom) was not only my dearly beloved sister but was someone blessed with a personality that attracted the love and respect of those who knew her. Over the years we visited one another, she would come over to England and I would visit her in USA. My friend appreciated her love and humour and would always enquire about her on her departure.
Frances was a kind and loving person, among the things she loved gardening and playing games with us. She would help us to plant and take care of the plant in our allotment in the UK. In the last conversation I had with her she asked about how I was doing in the allotment. I will miss the fun she gave me as we played the game TRIOMINOS.
Frances was a devoted Christian. When she was driving us around (my husband Sam and I) she would always be playing Christian songs or listening to Christian messages. She also shared Christian songs for us to take back to the UK. I remember her reading her bible daily and putting her trust in Christ. During her recent sickness we communicated regularly and as things became more difficult, she expressed the desire to go to rest in Jesus.
April 2019 was the last time we had face to face contact when we met up in Barbados where we had a memorable holiday. Through all the challenges of life Frances remained strong and in the words of the Apostle Paul we can say, she finished the race, she has kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for her the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to her on that Day, and not to her only but also to all those who put their trust in Him and have loved His appearing.
Frances sleeps until that day when all those who kept the faith of Jesus shall hear His voice and arise from the dead with glorious bodies to be with Christ forever. Sam and I will miss her dearly. Rest in peace until we meet with Jesus where there will be eternal joy.
