Elizabeth S. 'Betty' Derby's Obituary
Elizabeth S. 'Betty' Derby of Tavares, Florida passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the age of 76 years. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Betty worked as a school teacher for the Anne Arundel County School System in Maryland for many years. She and her husband, David lived in Glen Burnie, Maryland for 46 years. They were members of the Maryland Yacht Club for 15 years. Betty was a master seamstress and taught sewing for over 10 years. She was an avid boater and loved to be out on the water, especially on the Chesapeake Bay. She moved to Tavares in February of 2014. Betty also loved to play cards and was an avid Bridge and Canasta player.
Betty is remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband of 48 years, David; daughter and son-in-law, Daniela and Tim Fuller of Chapin, South Carolina; grandchildren, Sara Emily Fuller and Benjamin L. Fuller, both of Chapin; brother and sister-in-law, Bennett D. and Ada Fultz of Sun City, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie Louise and Ron Garland of Winchester, Kentucky; one nephew and several nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
