Hello Pat and all the Family. There are very few Miramar Police Officers who go back to when Dave was a Miramar P. O. I came on board Aug. of 1968 and quickly learned how good a Police officer, Family man and mentor He was to Me. !! He handled people so well ( good and bad guys). We remained close friends, I got to know You and then, the young children You two had. What a special Man David was, so honest, so kind and all those years You two were together is amazing. !!!!! His K-9 Silver was the best Police Dog and Family friendly dog I ever observed. Pat, My heart is hurting when I received the E-mail of Dave passing. God willing, I plan on going to the services. !!!! I met Dave long ago when he was a Miramar Police Officer. He was a very helpful and outgoing person, always willing to offer assistance. Later in my career at MPD I worked closely with Dave as he was at that time working as a Broward Schools Investigator. He had a reputation for being firm but fair and was well respected among his colleagues and school administrators. One thing that I will always remember is his happy demeanor and his willingness to pitch in. Prayers to his family, RIP Dave.
