It always hurts when we lose someone like DW. They just don't make people like him anymore. He always had my respect because I knew from the moment we met that he was a man who worked hard, was tough as nails, always talked straight, patriotic to his core and liked a good laugh now and then. He achieved his American dream and beamed with pride when he spoke of family. I will miss him, his view of the world and his wisdom.

I give my most sincere condolences to his daughter and my sister-in-law, Lisa, his son-in-law and my brother, John, as well as his grandchildren and my nieces, Katelyn and Krista. Cherish your memories of Daniel, "Luke," "DW," "Dad" and "Papa" because his legacy therein lies. May God bless Daniel Wesley Lucas.
