I was searching on line for the McGintys from Sayville and found this obituary . I played on a baseball team in the mid 1970s the Athletics with Sean. I was a horrible player, but Mrs. McGinty would give me a piece of gum if I got a hit. Rest in Peace.
My grandmother was always a unique person. She could talk like no one else, had stories upon stories, & could paint a picture with her words. She always had advice, wanted to share her perspective and what she knew. She always told me I had to remember her stories when she was gone. It makes me sad to think I will never hear them from her again. She lived a full life, rich with experience, and was always eager for what the next day would hold. I will dearly miss her positive force in my life.
