Chuck has been a family friend for decades. The first time I met this red-haired gentleman he was driving a red corvette with a winning smile. Pretty impressive, I must say. A little later, my brothers and sisters were helping mom with a garage sale and then she had to go to her job. We were hungry and decided to order pizza with some of the sale money. He chuckled at the thought and said he may have to let our mom know about this. Then we all had a good laugh! He brought spark to our lives, he was kind to our mom, taking her on camping trips and visiting the upper peninsula. Chuck and my mom had a very long friendship. He enjoyed watching us siblings interact with each other and the resultant smile it brought to our mom, which of course made Chuck smile as well. Chuck was always willing to lend a hand, to help where he could, and shared his generosity with us. His talent was beautiful hand carvings….wooden utensils and Santa’s. He was kind to my Sweetheart, having long interesting conversations. May peace be with you Chuck and your family at this time of emotions and transition. Thank you for gracing our lives. You will be forever in our hearts. - Sylvia Light and Don Bowman
