Carl Donald Belcher's Obituary
Carl Donald Belcher, age 50, of Mt. Dora, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1975, in Griffin, Georgia.
Carl moved to Central Florida in 1980 from Alabama and made it his home for most of his life. He was a skilled welder by trade and took great pride in building and creating things with his hands. Known for his work ethic and willingness to help others, Carl found satisfaction in seeing a project through from start to finish.
Outside of work, Carl enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved firing up the grill to barbecue for family and friends, spending quiet days fishing, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Time spent with loved ones brought him the greatest joy.
Carl is survived by his mother, Dorothy Parsley of Mt. Dora, Florida; his father, Phillip Donald Belcher of Alabama; his sister, Tonda Clyde of Leesburg, Florida; and his brothers, Larry Langley of Georgia and Tommy Langley of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dewaynna Lawhead and Amy Langley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carl’s memory to the Leesburg Humane Society, an organization reflecting his compassionate heart.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.
Carl will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his love of family, and the straightforward, genuine way he lived his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
