Bruce L. Talbott's Obituary
Bruce Lee Talbott, 57, passed away on August 28,2021. Born in Danville Illinois he moved to Florida and has been a Lake County resident for over 30 years. Bruce was a devoted member of the Lake Country Fire Department for 25 years where he was passionate about serving his community and was vital in the building and maintenance of the super water tanker. There is nothing he loved more than being an amazing dad to his two kids and doting grandpa to his granddaughter. When he wasn’t with his family he liked to connect with people around the world with his hobby of amature ham radio. Those who knew Bruce knew that he would do anything for those around him and had the best one liners in Lake County.
He was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Talbott and his mother Marlene Ackerman Talbott. He is survived by his son Jacob Talbott (Jessica) of Corry Station Pensacola; daughter Celia Talbott Longacre (Joey) of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; granddaughter Willamina Ann Longacre; sister Jodie Talbott Hurley (Dan) and many other extended family members, brothers in the fire service and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that if you are eligible to donate plasma you do so or make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the USO.
