We’ve know Bruce for many years. He had a such a laugh that you knew when he was in the room or nearby. He was such a lovely man who loved helping his community, neighbors and friends. We’ve had many cookout’s together as our family’s would come together. Dancing, laughing, enjoying each other’s company. It was always a good time. I’ll never forget when him and his son Jake first shared with us about this comedian they saw on Tv. The impersonation of him was on point. I laughed until my jaws ached. You will be dearly missed. We love you Bruce. Amy & Leon
I didn’t know Bruce very well, since I only met him a couple of times through Jacob. But from what I did know about him, is that he loved his kiddos more than anything. He would tell stories at the Thanksgiving dinner table about Jacob and Celia, and you could see his face light up as he spoke about them.
I also remember that Thanksgiving night when Bruce, Jacob and I went to Walmart for some early Black Friday shopping. We found a sound bar system that was priced incorrectly, so it was a really great deal. Bruce and Jacob stood there for an hour or two just to make sure they got that deal before the employees caught their mistake. We all had such a good laugh about it later, and it’s a memory I love to think back on, as simple as it may be.
Again, I didn’t know Bruce that well. But I know his kids, and I love them like they’re my own siblings. I’m grateful to have some memories of him that bring a smile to my face to this day. I know he will be so missed. My love and prayers are with his family. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Bruce Talbott was an amazing employee and good friend. His passion for not only the fire fleet but his family was nothing less than admirable. I always loved his one liners like when he was hungry he would say: "I am ready to strap a feed bucket on." He will be missed by all. Chief D.
