Dear Rebecca & Laura,
My mother was Evelyn Muir Beekman, sister of Ovid Muir, your great grandfather. My Mother, Daddy (Ed Beekman) and sister, Marilyn Beekman Johnson, and brother, Carl Beekman (now deceased) visited many times in my childhood with Grandma and Grandpa Muir in Bridgeton, IN as well as Ovid's brother, Carl, who had 3 daughters, your cousins Mary Jane, Gwen, and Alice. We also visited your Mom and Dad in Rockville. The Muir family was very close and I enjoyed your Mom very much! In the summer, I would spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa Muir and one time I got homesick and wanted them to call Mother and Daddy to come get me. They convinced me instead of taking me to Ovid's and Velma's house and I enjoyed spending the rest of the week with your Mom, Sarah, and Adrian. Your Mom and my sister, Marilyn, are the same age. She lives in St. Cloud, FL, and she and Dick would occasionally meet your parents at a restaurant. Unfortunately, I haven't seen your Mom for many years, but we kept in touch at Christmastime and through Marilyn's visits with her. And, Rebecca, it's been great to have you as a FB friend and loved your posts of photos of both your parents. I will miss seeing them.
