Alice and I go back over 50 years so it's hard to pick one memory to include -- there are so many. I was accepted into the Coton family as an "adopted" sister to Alice, Maybelle and Hazel and their spouses because we were always together. The 8 of us camped together, went square dancing, attended bluegrass festivals and loved playing pinochle. Alice and I often joked about how poor she was at giving directions....which I learned first hand one time. That memory never fails to bring a smile to my face. She was a gentle, sincere, loving person -- if you were her friend there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for you. I was so happy when Darryll entered her life. He and she had a lot of fun and enjoyed life which she certainly deserved. She will be missed by many besides me -- I am thankful for our many years of friendship. My new husband just recently met Alice and Darryll and enjoyed being with them. She was easy to love. Our sincere sympathies to all the family. Rest in peace, Alice. Love you very much.
