Winona Lynn Thomas' Obituary
Winona Lynn Thomas, age 61, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. She was born July 7, 1965 in Willard, Ohio to Donald and Treva Diane (Kennard) Dyer.
Winona was an avid reader and writer. She enjoyed antiques, decorating, gardening, and cooking. She was good at nearly everything she tried and had varied interests. She had a kind heart and a witty personality with an unforgettable smile, and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Winona attended Silverlake Community Church in Leesburg, Florida, where she was the audio tech for the worship team. She loved music, singing, and had a beautiful voice.
Winona was preceeded in death by her grandparents, Chester and Berta Dyer of Willard, Ohio, and Thomas (Louie) and Lola Kennard of Willard, Ohio, her daughter, Treva Slone, a nephew, Eric Dyer and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Winona is lovingly remembered by her parents, Don and Diane Dyer of Leesburg, Florida, her three daughters: Amber (Adam) Schafer of Ashland, Ohio, Chelsea (Robert) Coleman- Taylor of Kodak, Tennessee, Katy Coleman of Sevierville, Tennessee, and her six grandchildren: Alaina, Adrian, Lylah, Aiden, Rowan and Mykee. She is also survived by her brother, Doug (Charlene) Dyer of Shelby, Ohio, and a large extended family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
