Being an only child I loved that 6 kids moved in across the street from us in Miami. I felt like # 7 as did anyone that hung out at the house, ate at the big dining room table or spent the night. I knew Mrs. Trawick in the 1960s and '70s when our families went to Kendall Presbyterian Church. Even after all these years, I remember her well and with great fondness. She was one of the beautiful Christian women who set a great example for me. My deepest sympathy to the Trawick family for their loss.
I abhor mushrooms to this day. The first time I spent the night at the Trawick house,Mrs.Tee made lasagna with them,I was so Happy to be with my friends ,I shut up and ate with passion.Love you Mrs.Tee.
I am one of the people that helped take care of Winnie during her stay with the Trawicks in The Villages, Fl. She was the sweetest little thing; always so loving and kind. I can remember washing, cutting and styling her hair for her. (no, I'm not a hairdresser but we all had a good time!) I was a live in nurse-caregiver. Helping to look after this dear woman was a blessing for me. I recently moved back home to Texas so I will not be able to attend her memorial, but to her son Don and wife, Dusty, my heart felt sorrow to you because I know you will miss her, but you also know that she is in the arms of our Saviour and probably dancing in the streets of heaven right this very minute!
