Wilson C. Smith's Obituary
Mr. Wilson C. Smith of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the age of 93 years. He was born in Oconto, Wisconsin. Wilson proudly served his country in the US Army in WWII. He was a retired printer. He and his wife of 70 years, Marian, moved to this area 30 years ago from Jackson, Michigan. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. Wilson was an accomplished musician, playing just about any instrument he picked up, and truly excelled at the guitar. He also enjoyed gardening. He is remembered by his wife, Marian; son, James (Sandra) Smith of Twinsburg, Ohio; daughters, Marjorie (Michael) Boland of Leesburg and Sandra Leggett of Leesburg. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Smith. Friends were invited to gather for viewing on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 10 am – 12 noon with a funeral ceremony starting at 12 noon, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and cremations, Tavares, FL.
