I was his stepson long ago he really taught me a lot Willie was 1 of the nicest people I had ever met 1 of the memories I have is when we went to Florida and we went around town in his old school it looked like it was from the 50s the car was super clean he always took us places and showed us different things I hate I didn't get a chance to reconnect with him but he'll always be a father to me R.I.P. The memory that sticks the most was skipping school at your house and your Mom snow white dog escaping into the cemetery. The more we chased the faster he ran. At that point we all remembered we had to go home. I never knew the outcome. But, Dad you were always good to me. A real friend and I'm honored. Gonna miss you.

My fondest memories of Willie aka Big Dad 😍 were his ability to give you the biggest Lol in every situation. We knew every time we got in his car he was going to find a way 😎to go cross the railroad tracks on 6th St. why? Bc he knew that the big hump design of the tracks meant that if you crossed going more than 15 mph the car was going to do exactly what the Dukes of Hazard car used to do, lift up and come back down. Now us girls would be begging😱him to slow down while the guys would be egging him on to speed up.. and you know the guys won out every time. His laughter 😂 each time he did it was so contagious that you couldn’t help but join him. Both my children and my grandchildren can tell you the stories I’ve always shared with them about that railroad track and the beautiful 😻 fun and laughter we all had with Big Dad. ❤️Sincerely, Delphine Gray
