Mr. Willie Lee Harris, Jr. was born in Sumter County, Georgia on July 19 , 1959 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Thomas and the late Mr. Willie Harris, Sr. Willie received his education through the Broward County School System, and was a graduate of Dillard High School, Class of 1978, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Affectionately known as "Big Dad", he left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. Willie was a man of honor and integrity. His words of wisdom, and his unwavering support for his friends, family, and loved ones was unmatched.
His life was a testament to love, dedication, and community. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, both personally and professionally. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
On Friday, May 8, 2026, Willie peacefully transitioned at his home in Eustis, Florida. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Janice Hunter.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, of whom he referred to as his "Angel", Mrs. Gloria Harris, Eustis, Florida; his "children", Maria Roscoe, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Charles Harris, Miami, Florida; and Walter Harris, Americus, Georgia; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and cherished friends, including the Sears and Kennon families, respectively.
