William W. Friedman's Obituary
William W. Friedman, 90, formerly of Tavares, Fl. went to be with his Lord on December 7, 2011 in Zephyrhills, Fl. He attended Jacksonville State University where he met his future wife Clemmie and Lettered in five sports and then graduated from Vanderbilt University with his Masters Degree. Mr. Friedman was an Administrator in the Lake County School System and retired with over 35 years in Public Education. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tavares, Fl. where he served on the Board of Deacons for over 42 years. He moved to the Lake County area in 1958 from Gainesville, Fl. and was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.He is survived by two sons: Dr. David Wayne (Barbara) Friedman of Dade City, Fl and Bob (Marie) Friedman of D’Iberville, MS.; five grandchildren: Michael Friedman, Wayne Friedman, Courtney Friedman, Rebecca Groomes & Jeremy Friedman; eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Clemmie and a son J. Don Friedman.Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00pm at The First Baptist Church of Tavares, Fl. with burial following at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, Fl. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his memory to First Baptist Church of Tavares, 124 North Joanna Ave. Tavares, Fl. 32778.
