William Edward "Bill" Carte's Obituary
The Reverend William "Bill" Edward Carte, 60, of Mt Dora, Florida, passed away, Thursday, September 17th, 2015. William was preceded in death by his father Bill Carte Sr. and his youngest brother, Kevin Carte. William is survived, by Geneva Carte, his lovingly devoted wife of 38 years, his three children, Matthew Carte and his wife Dana, Chrysti Benner and her husband Justin, and Bethany Goats and her husband Joshua. William is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Brycen Carte, Aubrey and Aiden Benner, and Ellyott and Kinsley Goats. William is survived by his mother, Betty Ann Carte, and his younger brother Steve Carte.
William was born in Charleston, West Virginia on September 12, 1955. He served as an ordained minister, within the Church of the Nazarene, for 31 years, faithfully serving the Lord Jesus across the states of Kentucky, West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida.
William's hobbies included watching baseball, football, and personally engaging professional athletes. He loved engaging people from every walk of life and ably ministered to all of them in Jesus' Name. His affable personality and his penchant for humor easily brought deep laughter from those who knew him well. Occupationally, he excelled with Disney and Apple during his final years. Most of all, his greatest accomplishment and remaining legacy is in the family that he leaves with sad but grateful hearts.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Tuesday, September 22 from 4:00 - 6:00pm with a funeral ceremony starting at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
