William Ray Alderson's Obituary
William "Bill" Ray Alderson, 74, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on February 25, 2025, he was a lifelong resident of Michigan. He was born on January 3, 1951, in Battle Creek, MI, to his parents: Glenn and Evalyn (Knowles) Alderson. Bill was a skilled carpenter in construction and served with pride in the United States Marine Corps, a Vietnam War veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the AMVETS, life member of the VFW and vice president of the Lake Veterans Club.
Bill was a skilled carpenter and mechanic who enjoyed all types of carpentry/building projects, building and riding motorcycles (Harley’s) and landscaping. He was in several different music bands throughout his life, playing drums, guitar, singing and a very gifted bass guitarist. Bill loved spending time with family and friends and especially his dog Molly.
He is survived by his daughter: Charity Alderson and son: Jeremiah Alderson. Grandson: Tanner Alderson along with 7 bonus grandchildren. Stepchildren: Jessica Turner, Billy Olson and Debi Price. Sister: Karen Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife: Pamela Barnes Alderson; sister: Dawn Alderson and his parents Glenn and Evalyn Alderson Bill will be laid to rest at a later date in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
