Willa Dean Loper's Obituary
Willa Dean Loper, 94, of North Port, FL passed away on July 14, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1929, in Hollis, Oklahoma. Willa was a beloved member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Willa is survived by her loving daughters, Sylvia Marie Olson, Kandi Darlene Purington-Battle (Harry) and Cynthia Joy Loper Jones (Tom). She was a cherished grandmother to Kimberly Joy Chamberlain, Charles Stephen Jones, Cissy Darlene Jones and Michael Thomas Jones. Willa was also a proud great-grandmother to Joseph Richard Chamberlain (Melissa), Kristina Morgan Joy Arnold, and great-great granddaughters, Xiara, Jazmyne and Skyler.
Willa was preceded in death by her father and mother Joseph R. and Grace M. Swaffar; her husband Hardee C. Loper; son Hardee Stephen Loper; grandson Kristopher Stephen Hunter; brother Joe Bob Swaffar; and sisters Billy Pauline Kelley and Sandra Joy Swaffar. She also mourned the loss of her partner in life, Katherine “Tatty” Morgan.
In her free time, Willa enjoyed gardening, creating beautiful flower arrangements and indulging in her love of books and family. Willa will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for her family and her dedication to her hobbies.
The family will hold a private memorial service to celebrate Willa’s life and cherish the memories they shared with her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
