Wayne's family, his friends and everyone who sought the high road in the practice of his profession have suffered a sad loss. Nobody who ever enjoyed it will forget his sheepish grin, easy laugh and ready wit. I had the distinct privilege to work with Wayne right out of law school and to call him my friend ever after that. It was always my experiende that Wayne would help anyone that asked, and gave any adversary one chance to underestimate genuine intentions to get the right thing done.
He is sorely missed and will never be forgotten.

Pam, Justin, Meredith and Murphy,
I'm quite certain that, like me, you have your good days and your not so good days. But I pray your good days out-number your bad days, and your smiles out-number your tears, as you are reminded of how much Wayne loved you all. His legacy truly does live on through all of you as well as the next generation. As proud as he was a "dad" to you three kids, he was most proud of his newest title, "Grandpa."
Wayne was truly one of the most respected attorneys in the region, emulating pure talent in and out of the courtroom. Watching Wayne in action was simply an art form. It was such an honor and a privilege to have worked for Wayne for 13 years, and I'm blessed to have called him "boss," "mentor," and "co-mediator." But more importantly, my favorite title for Wayne is "cherished friend."
Pam, as I told you on the phone, Wayne was never late for anything, and how I wish he had missed this one last deadline by at least a few years.
Thank you Wayne for taking me under your wing and believing in me and shaping my career. Thank you for trusting in me and allowing me to be your side-kick. But thank you also for your years of listening to me and providing me with sound advice; teaching me about life and how to live it. I will miss having our lengthy talks about old times at the office. I will miss your laughter and your infectious smile. I will miss your amazing wisdom and wit. I will miss your kindness and sincerity. But most of all, I will miss your friendship, which will forever be imbedded in my heart.
Most sincerely,
Terri Abbott
One to one is Wayne's way. He had you for an hour--you had a friend for life! I loved the man. And I send my love to each of you; Pamela, JW, Merideth, and Murphy....
Pam and family,
Thinking of you.
So sorry for your loss.
Best Wishes,

Dear Pam and family - I knew Wayne from the viewpoint of a young hard-charger, who was regularly, patiently, and courteously "schooled" by Wayne. He was one of the best trial lawyers Fargo has known, and was ever the gentleman. In short,he was a good example. I always enjoyed working with Wayne and, in conversation, his curious mind on display. My sincere sympathy to you on his passing.

Pam and kids, I am truly saddened at the passing of your husband and father, Wayne. I will never forget his kindness to this family. His laughter and chuckle will go with me forever. Wayne's irreverence about certain subjects was hilarious and spot on. Pam, draw your family close, absorb they're memories and Wayne will live on for many, many years. Blessings to you Pam and to all of yours, Michael Schloesser
P.S. Can't hear a blonde joke to this day without thinking of you, Pam
Pam and family- Our sincere condolences on the passing of Wayne. He was a great lawyer and a wonderful person. We both enjoyed his dedication to his profession and his great laugh. We both worked with him many times over the years he practiced in Fargo and never enjoyed the cases more than when working with Wayne. He was, and will continue to be, a very bright light in this universe . Our thoughts and prayers are with you .
