Wanda Joan Overhiser's Obituary
Wanda Joan Overhiser, 80, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on July 19, 2021 in Tavares, Florida. Wanda was born on March 21, 1941 in Ohsweken, Ontario Canada to the parents of Henry Edgar Lickers and Myrtle Violet General. She was the youngest child and is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Rexford B. Overhiser, two children Amy D. Cross and Kurt H. Overhiser, grandson Ryan M. Cross, and sisters Ruth A. Beisheim and Dorothy J. Wright.
Wanda loved spending time with her family and was a pillar of strength for them. She was a beloved and devoted mother who cherished her children and supported them in their dreams and accomplishments. She went back to school later in life to obtain her RN degree in nursing. She loved the Lord and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed doing genealogy, cooking, eating out, and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends here on earth but is joyfully reunited with loved ones who pre-deceased her in heaven.
There will be a memorial service on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at her church: 1875 Mt. Vernon Road, Leesburg, FL 34748. She will be interred at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, 36601 County Road 19A, Eustis, Florida 32726.
