Walter Erskine Kimbro, age 87, of Tavares passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was born September, 4, 1927 in Hartford, AL. He was a retired printer and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was a Master Mason of Ionic Lodge #101 of Jacksonville, FL. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Kimbro of Tavares, FL; sons, Douglas Walter Kimbro of Houston, TX and Jerry Alan Kimbro of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Karen Lynn Roderick of Minneola, FL; sisters, Merle Reddish of Dothan, AL and Mildred Smith of Melbourne, FL; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00PM. Entombment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL.
