Mr. Vernon H. Sonenstahl's Obituary
Vernon H. Sonenstahl, 99 3/4 years young, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Vernon was born on August 4, 1920 in Rockford, Minnesota to Gustav F. and Lorena L. Sonenstahl. Vernon was a true Renaissance man, he was a teacher, pastor, musician, soldier for his Country and his faith, and a lover of life and family. Vernon was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Tavares and served his Country proudly in the United States Army. Vernon is survived by his beloved wife Naomi of 14 1/2 years of marriage. A gathering of family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, July 25th at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Tavares, 124 N. Joanna Ave., Tavares, Florida 32778. A celebration of life memorial service will begin immediately following the gathering starting at 12:00 PM. Vernon's place of rest will be with his Comrades In Arms at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with Military Honors at a later date.
