Vance M. Currin Jr.'s Obituary
Vance M. Currin Jr, of Tavares, passed away on Tuesday November 18, 2014. He was born on April 26, 1944 in Racine, Wisconsin to his parents, Vance and Jeannie Currin. Vance and his wife, Carla moved here in 2006 from Plantation, Florida. Mr. Currin graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1962. He was a member of Adventure Christian Church in Tavares. Vance was a retired Police Sergeant of the Plantation Police Department and was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 42 and the Police Benevolent Association. Vance enjoyed reading and cruising. Vance is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Carla; his Daughters: Erin (Marcelo Yasin) Currin of Pompano Beach, FL, Melissa Currin of Jupiter, FL and Ashley Currin of Gainesville, FL; Son: Vance (Trey) M. (Tristana) Currin III of Gainesville, FL; Brothers: Philip Currin of Gainesville, FL, and Tiger (Elizabeth) Currin of Willis, TX; and four Grandchildren: Colin, Emma, Ella, and Hailey. A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11:00AM at Adventure Christian Church, Tavares, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Adventure Christian Church located at 3800 SR 19, Tavares, FL 32778, Cornerstone Hospice located at 2445 Lane Park Road Tavares, FL 32778, or a Hospice of your choice.
