Thomas Durand Hall's Obituary
Thomas Hall, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 22, 1939, in Conneaut, Ohio, Tom led a life rich in purpose and dedication. His early years were marked by honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline and resilience.
Tom's professional journey was distinguished by significant accomplishments in engineering and business. He began his career as an engineer and steadily advanced to executive roles at prominent companies such as Motorola and Speed Queen, culminating in the acquisition of Acme in Charlottesville, Virginia.
After a successful career, Tom embraced retirement at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, before ultimately settling in Mount Dora, Florida.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna Hall, with whom he shared a life filled with love and partnership. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marietta Hall; his brother, David Hall; and his sister, Joyce Greenough.
Tom's legacy lives on through his extensive and loving family, including 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

His unwavering dedication to family, principles, strength and humor left an indelible mark on all who knew him. A man of quiet faith, Tom trusted in God’s plan throughout his life, drawing strength and comfort from his beliefs.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Chapel at Waterman Village on Friday, May 23rd at 10:30 followed by an informal lunch at Lakeside.
