Thomas Angelo Pasha's Obituary
Thomas Angelo Pasha passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at home in Howey-In-The-Hills. He was born February 12, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Marian Pasha, Greenwich, Conn., and his brother William, Waterville, ME. Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty (Shea) Pasha, originally from Buffalo, NY, and the love of his life. He is survived by seven children; Marianne (John Mulry); Edwin (Kelly) Pasha; Thomas (Karen) Pasha; Peter, (Kathy) Pasha; Christopher (Debbie) Pasha; Liz Pasha; and Matthew (Suzanne) Pasha. Tom is also survived by his sister, Mary Jane Franco, Greenwich, Conn., and by nine grandchildren who he loved dearly, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tom grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from St. Philip Neri High School. He attended Villanova University, and graduated in 1952, with a degree in English. While in college he joined the NROTC and went on to serve in the United States Navy until 1954, attaining the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade. After his service in the Navy, Tom began a career in construction, acoustical engineering and sales. He was still making sales calls as owner and manager, SalesReps, Inc., the week of his death. Tom enjoyed life, loved his family, music, boating and Villanova basketball. His sense of humor was contagious and the source of memorable gatherings of family and friends. He will be missed. Visitation was held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6803 Old Hwy. 441 South, Mt. Dora. Interment followed at the Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Howey-In-The-Hills, located one mile south of town on Palm Avenue (US 19). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, www.littlesistersofthepoor.org. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
