Shelvie J. Johnson's Obituary
Shelvie J. Johnson, 80 of Summerfield, FL went to be with The Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Shelvie was born on May 19, 1937 in Ocoee, FL to the late Willy and Nellie Johnson. She moved to Summerfield from Fruitland Park, FL in 2015. During her working years she enjoyed and took great pride in being a housekeeper in the hospitality industry for Holiday Inn. Shelvie was of the Baptist faith. She was a proud member of the Central Florida Seminole Tribe. She enjoyed fishing, outdoors and picnics with her family and late husband, John. Shelvie also enjoyed outings, spending time with her family and taking trips with her sisters. She was a quiet and sweet lady who loved her red lipstick! Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by many.
Shelvie is predeceased by her loving husband of 23 years: John Thomas Williams, Jr.; Brother: Elzie Johnson; and Sister: Patricia Allen. She is survived by her Sons: Donald (Donna) Williams, of Astatula, FL, John “Buddy” (Nell) Williams, of Summerfield, FL. Kenneth Williams, of Reading, MI, Michael (Kandi) Williams, of Oxford, FL, and Craig Williams, of Oxford, FL; Daughters: Brenda Lindsey, of Summerfield, FL, and Glenda (Johnny) Johnson, of New Castle, IN; Brothers: Alvie (Pam) Johnson, of Summerfield, FL, Johnny (Kathy) Johnson, of Weirsdale, FL, and Clifford (Rhonda) Johnson, of Weirsdale, FL; Sisters: Thelma Miller, of Eustis, FL, Geraldine May, of Weirsdale, FL, and Melba Johnson, of Summerfield, FL; 24 Grandchildren; 35 Great-Grandchildren; and Many Nieces and Nephews.
