Shelly Ray Glisson's Obituary
Shelly Ray Glisson, 57 of Eustis, Florida passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 loved by many friends and family. Ray was born in Tampa, Florida on October 28, 1951 to the late Joseph Glisson and Glennie Willis. He attended Brandon High School and graduated from King High School in 1969. He lived in his home state for most his life. Ray was a born salesman with his kind, funny and easy going nature and was universally liked by colleagues, customers and vendors. He most recently worked for Aldan Electric Supply in Eustis. Ray loved life and started every day with new hopes and dreams. He loved to travel and explored sights both locally and afar — taking hundreds of pictures to relive his memories with his friends and family. He was also an avid golfer and loved the water for fishing, boating or simply enjoying the sound of the waves. Ray was a tremendously proud father who never missed an important event in his son's life. He also made his friends his family, and he will be missed by many. Ray leaves behind his son Craig Mester and his daughter-in-law Anne-Marie Roerink of San Antonio, Texas. They would like to invite all family, friends and colleagues to reflect on and share their memories of Ray on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Steverson, Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home 226 East Burleigh Boulevard, Tavares, FL 32778.
