Sharon Kay Knight's Obituary
Sharon Kay Sorrels-Knight, 65, of Tavares, Florida, died in her home on December 2, 2015. She grew up in Fontana, California, graduated from Fontana High School and retired from San Bernardino County, District Attorney Child Support Division in Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the clerical staff supervisor.
She was pre-deceased by her first husband Samuel (Sam) W. Sorrels in 1998 and her second husband Joseph “Bub”) Warren Knight in 2014. Her family members include her Mother Betty Saul of California and Father Rupert “Tex” McElyea (Deceased 2006); grandchildren Emilee Redondo and Erik Kielty both of Florida, and Ethan Musolino of California; sister Carolyn Lewis of California and; uncles Ed (Buford) McElyea and Travis McElyea and aunts Betty Mummy (deceased) and Shirley Negrete of California and several cousins. She also leaves behind her In-laws Greg and Vicki Knight and Charles “Sparky” and Nicki Knight of Tennessee.
Sharon loved the beach so much that she married Bub on Vilano Beach (St. Augustine), Florida on August 13, 2005. She is enjoyed traveling, boating on the local lakes, fishing trips with her in-laws in Tennessee and spending time with family and friends. Sharon enjoyed her Shih Tzu’s; Gizmo, Mitzie, and Emma until their passing.
A private service is being planned.
Sharon will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving heart that she so generously shared with us all.
